Try using avast home edition. But if the one you are using is disallowing your connection, goto the internet setting of the antivirus, and select enable to all disables. Hope it's help?

I always prefer AVG.I think that is the best one.I like that one because of some features of it like Two-way Firewall,Compatible with anti-virus software,Multi-layered security for your PC and so on..

I think avast is best in free-ware segment. because it has nice tool and powerful virus database. but I dont believe it i used only mcafee licence version. best anti virus its firewall is so strong and give maximum protection to over data.
