A mutual fund is a professionally managed type of collective investment scheme that pools the money of several investors and invests this in stocks, bonds, money market instruments and other types of securities. If you wanted to know everything about the mutual funds, I would suggest you to read about the mutual fund basics. As sachin121ja said, almost all mutual fund companies like IDFCMF have their own websites, where you can get the complete information about mutual funds.
