Thread: I hate spammers and hackers.

Angry I hate spammers and hackers.

It is really disgusting to see some persons joining the site and immediately spamming the Forum and spoiling the posts and threads of other genuine members with their irrelevant or inane comments/posts.

I suggest that unless a newbie is referred by a member of the Forum, other persons joining through other means (through other sites etc) must be allowed to post threads only after moderation by the Admin or moderators.

It is very annoying to see people who join to spoil the image of this Forum. If they are not interested in the Forum, why should they join?

Spamming is becoming a big nuisance for all of us. We put in lots of checks. Still, there are some idiots throwing spams for no reason. Their links are no-follow meaning that it wont help them in their SEO business. We can't make the forum as invite-only, this will annoy the genuine users. It's kind of catch-22. Spammers are taking advantage of this situation.

If the new user is not allowed to register immediately, he/she will lose the interest of joining. We follow certain rules (like blocking countries like China, Russia, etc) to reduce the inflow of spam. We would need the help from all users to completely stop this annoyance. Thanks for bringing up this issue.

Continuing on this discussion... we are moderating all registrations now. Because of this, there may be some delay before we activate your registration. Please bear with us while we make sure that the forum is secure from nasty spammers.
